HARTFORD CT — ERIN CHOQUETTE, CEO OF THE CONNECTICUT PAID LEAVE AUTHORITY, TODAY ISSUED THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT:

“By law, the CT Paid Leave Authority is required to announce on or before November 1st the contribution rate that workers pay into the Paid Leave Trust fund in the following calendar year. Today, the Board of Directors of the Paid Leave Authority voted to keep the contribution rate for 2025 at one-half of one percent.”

Eligible workers may apply to the CT Paid Leave Authority for income-replacement benefits if they are unable to work for specific qualifying reasons, such as recovering from a serious health condition, caring for a family member with a serious health condition, or bonding with a newborn child or newly placed adopted or foster child. Information about the CT Paid Leave program can be found at www.ctpaidleave.org. Employers can also go to www.ctpaidleave.org for information about deducting and remitting the 0.5% contribution and about how they can support employees who need CT Paid Leave benefits.
